About me
Sarah joined ALA more than five years ago as the Program Officer, Continuing Education for ALSC. Shortly after, she became the Deputy Director for the division, overseeing strategic planning, continuing education, membership and partnerships. Most recently, she has moved her work in big-picture thinking about meaningful content, programming, and resourcing for members to ALA Conference Services, where she serves the membership as the Deputy Director of Content Strategy. Please find her to share your thoughts about meaningful education opportunities, feedback on content, and other ideas you have to help ALA better meet the professionalizing needs of its members!
When she's not working to help support librarians in their professional growth and development, she's probably braving new foods with her family (anchovies were a stocking stuffer at the request of her youngest!); watching pee-wee soccer and baseball games; visiting our three local libraries - "our" library, big library, and new library (s/o Evanston and Skokie Public Libraries!) - or reading fanfiction (fandom-agnostic). A Missouri native, she still loves the STL Cardinals even though she lives deep in Cubs territory now.
