Pam Johnson, Ph.D., is the former Executive Director of Ready To Learn at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, a school readiness initiative developed in partnership with PBS KIDS, leading children’s content producers, researchers, and America’s public media stations with funding from the U.S. Department of Education. Pam’s leadership and expertise in community and family engagement have supported hundreds of local PBS stations in delivering exceptional educational media and learning experiences to their communities to boost kids learning and empower parents. Prior to joining CPB, Pam served as Vice President for Education and Engagement at Buffalo Toronto Public Media where she spearheaded learning services and advanced innovative projects including ThinkBright TV, the Buffalo Professional Development and Technology Center, and Reading Rainbow’s national outreach and web priorities. Across her career in public media, collaboration for public good has been the driving force, with Pam working shoulder-to-shoulder with extraordinary partners at local, state, and national levels.
