About me
Cathy was a teacher librarian in Connecticut, at all levels at some point in her career. She spent the 17 up to her retirement in 2018 at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk, CT. Following her (ha-ha) "retirement," she has been a presenter for the Bureau of Education and Research sharing great young adult books with teachers and librarians around the U.S., and teaching at several university library studies programs. She also spends a few hours every week staffing the Adult Reference desk at a public library. She has served on multiple state and national award committees throughout her career. Yes, there is free time in there; Cathy devotes that free time to her companion parrots, and to riding her Morgan horses.
